These venues I’ve recently been inspired by, either when shooting a wedding at these locations, stumbling upon them on instagram, or hearing rave reviews about them from fellow vendors. While this list could go on for ages, here are my top luxury wedding venues for destination weddings in 2024.
1. Thalatta Estate, Palmetto Bay, FL
2. Swan Club on the Harbor, Roslyn, NY
3. Amangiri, Canyon Point, UT
4. The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, CO
5. The Hermitage Hotel, Nashville, TN
6. Legion of Honor Museum, San Francisco, CA
7. Sanctuary Camelback Mountain, Scottsdale, AZ
8. Swan House, Atlanta, GA
1. Thalatta Estate, Palmetto Bay, FL
I had to put Thalatta Estate at the top of my list. I had the privilege of shooting a wedding there this spring and I was blown away by every element of this venue. The view, the attention to detail, and the space made if feel like an old money style of luxury. The ocean view and architecture gave it a romantic feeling that was emphasized by the rich colors and textures of the tropical plants.
This is a venue that stands alone as beautiful without needing a lot of decor and florals added. These photos are from the wedding I photographed in April and you’ll see what I mean when I say this venue was a stunner and the perfect match for a black tie wedding day.
2. Swan Club on the Harbor, Roslyn, NY
This is a wedding venue in New York with seven acres of beautifully manicured gardens, waterways and stunning views at every turn. Known for its swans on the water, this venue has a romantic, garden feel to it that is unmatched. As beautiful as the outdoor areas of this venue are, we all know the inside of venues can be a little disappointing, but for this one, that is not the case. Swan Club on the Harbor has multiple ballrooms with floor to ceiling windows for the view, chandeliers and crown molding. The wood floors and thoughtfully designed spaces give this venue a high-end look for photos and an atmosphere to match. I can’t wait to shoot my first wedding at this venue next year and will be sure to share it here!

3. Amangiri
This is my absolute dream wedding venue to shoot at. I’m a girl that loves to let the landscape speak and this venue, built into this stunning desert landscape is absolutely stunning. The architecture of this venue is something special and truly feels like a slice of paradise in the desert. I can’t even look at this place without envisioning the most intimate and beautiful wedding party, celebrating at sunset and dancing under the stars until the sun starts to rise again. Amangiri, laid out in the desert basin of Utah is truly a beautiful and unique space for the minimalist, chic bride who wants to let the beauty of the mountains set the tone for her wedding day or elopement. I can’t say enough about this thoughtfully planned design with views that will live in my mind rent-free forever.

4. The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, CO
This resort venue is a statement look for a wedding day. A destination resort on the Forbes Five-Star list with a nod to European style, it is truly a beautiful and stand out wedding venue. A few things I really love about the Broadmoor include the beautiful Rocky Mountain views at every turn, the oversized chandeliers in the ballrooms and the expansive courtyard elements for diverse options on a wedding day. This is such a great option for the bride and groom who love the outdoors but want luxury to be a priority on their wedding day.

5. The Hermitage Hotel, Nashville, TN
I came across this hotel while shooting an engagement session in Nashville. I popped in to check it out and it was so stunning inside and so elegant that I immediately had to view the whole hotel. The Grand Lobby is so elegant that you immediately want to stay here because you know the experience will be held to a high standard. The lobby is etched in gold tones with soft blues and creams painting the walls and floors. Without stepping further into the hotel, this lobby conveys the beauty of this venue. Upstairs, the veranda has vaulted, painted ceilings, tall windows with soft light pouring in and a neutral color palette perfect for a small wedding reception or rehearsal dinner. The Grand Ballroom is its own atmosphere with rich wood tones and drop chandeliers. The tiered ceilings have intricate crown molding that really makes the room stand out with an air of upscale elegance. And what you just read, I did not exaggerate. The photo below is one I took on the Veranda. The last element of The Hermitage Hotel I want to talk about is Drusie & Darr, the fine dining experience new to the hotel. With lux seating and an intimate feel to the environment, Drusie & Darr, along with its Michelin star chef, Jean-Georges, would elevate any wedding weekend at this Nashville gem with it’s curated menu and sophisticated atmosphere.

6. Legion of Honor Museum, San Francisco, CA
This stunning venue has limited booking availability in 2024 and is an incredible space to consider for a luxury wedding experience. The architecture of it brings a grand feeling to any wedding ceremony and the unique spaces of the museum are truly beautiful for any wedding event. I will let the photos below speak for themselves about this one, but I feel like this space has endless possibilities for a black tie wedding. Legion of Honor Museum Wedding has a nice ring to it don’t you think?

7. Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort, Scottsdale, AZ
Another mountainside setting with views for days. This venue offers multiple spaces for ceremony and wedding events including a glass enclosed ballroom, wedding lawn, and terrace with a sunset view. Sanctuary Camelback Mountain has the romance we all love with the intimate touches that give it a luxurious feel for a wedding weekend. This is one of those venues that every single corner of is well thought out and beautiful for a ceremony, a cocktail hour or rehearsal dinner. And of note are the villas which offer spectacular, panoramic views with beautifully designed interior spaces to match. This venue isn’t just a beautiful luxury wedding venue but also a honeymoon paradise and a chic wedding week stay.

8. Swan House Gardens, Atlanta, GA
This is one of the most stunning structures for a wedding day. If you want luxury that feels rich with beauty and warmth, this venue is at the top of my list. The gardens surrounding Swan House add a little bit of romance to what already feels like a magical place for a wedding. If you imagine a black tie affair at the steps of this beautiful architecture then we are on the same page. With a cocktail hour in the gardens and a reception under the stars, this luxury wedding venue is truly eye catching and would elevate any wedding event.
